Two boys discuss the conclusion of a story one of them is working on for his graphic novel. As the writer struggles to find the right plot developments, a rogue punch from his friend knocks him out. When he wakes up, things acquire the most unusual form with a version of the protagonist from a different timeline having arrived in his home. The collision of past, present, and future further alerts the time police and events seem to be headed towards a potentially fatal turn for him.
